Over the winter months, club members have found fishing offshore to be a little tricky and somewhat sporadic. Good numbers of fish had been difficult to find and more so, quality snapper have been a rare sighting. The September outing (19-20 September) has given hints that the fish may be returning, with numbers of anglers catching good numbers of fish with some absolute horses amongst them.

The Club Forster Bluewater Fishing Club monthly fishing competition held on 17th May saw a small number of boats and fishos hit the great ocean blue, as well as mixed results in the fishing catch.
