Due to the very inclement weather this month, the Club Forster Bluewater Fishing Club monthly fishing outing, normally held on a weekend, was conducted on Wednesday 22nd January 2025. Sea conditions were a little lumpy early on, but levelled out to a beautiful warm day as the day grew older.

10 members and 1 visitor in 6 boats participated with 60 fish weighed in.  Faithful club stalwart Barry ‘Spanner’ Wench got the best snapper of the day (1.96 kilo), with Martyn Barry and John Meyne mirroring their results: Martyn won the best flathead and runner up teraglin, whilst John reflected these results, taking out best teraglin (1.92 kilo) and runner up flathead. Dave Nash won the overall most points for the day, which included the largest other species prize for a 2.6 kilo pearl perch.  

It was great to have member Bryan Duffy back on the water after some travelling around Australia.
