A new Concept

The plan is to have a non-comp fishing outing, with all boats attending fishing together, and ending the morning with a sausage sizzle lunch and beer or three at the ramp 😊. These would be held on a Saturday to enable workers and non-workers alike to attend.

Different members would volunteer to be ‘Captain of the Day’, sharing some of their fishing methods and locations with those who attend on the day.

We would also meet on the Wednesday evening prior to the SSFD for a ‘Pre-Fish Meeting’ where the captain of the day will share some juicy titbits about their techniques, rigs, tackle, bait etc, as well as plans for the upcoming outing.  This would be held from 7pm till 8pm at Club Forster in the main downstairs lounge. Members could stay afterwards if they wish. Please note that ALL members are welcome at this meeting, whether attending the SSFD or not. 😊

Details of first Outing.

The first SSFD is planned for Saturday the 28th February 2026.  (Captain of the Day: - Dave Nash)

·       Where:  Forster Boat Harbour Ramp

·       When: Starts may vary but finish is scheduled for 11am.  Sausage sizzle and lie telling begins after that! 😊

·       BYO drinks and chair

The ‘Pre-Fish Meeting’ will occur Wednesday 25th February 2026

·       Where:  Club Forster in the main downstairs lounge.

·       When: 7pm till 8pm.
