Club now measuring by length

The CFBWFC will for the 25/26 competition year (the yearly competition starts 1 July each year) with a significant change.

From July 1 2025, the club will be measuring fish caught on competition outings by length rather than weight.

Increasingly fishing clubs have been moving from weight based pointing systems to length based and CFBWFC has determined to be part of that movement.  It is envisioned that that this move will encourage sustainable fishing practices and allow members to practice catch and release fishing if they wish.

Catch and release measuring mats (as in attached picture) have been purchased by the club from Fisheries and are available for $10 each. Please contact the club at cfbwfishingclub@outlook.com to request to purchase one.
